Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$15.64 - $18.75 / hour
Summary
Performs routine clerical duties including phone reception, filing, copying, and mail retreval, sorting and distribution. Faxes reports as requested for treatment and payment. Performs routine recordkeeping duties including accurate retrieval, filing, scanning, distribution, and maintenance of departmental records. Files maintained included pathology and incoming reference pathology reports. Proof reads pathology reports for transcription errors and corrects them through transcription. Assists with a variety of departmental quality activities. Assists Legal Services department by providing information/specimens for legal cases. Sends out slides/reports/blocks for expert consultation or for patient treatment at another facility. Distributes reports provided by expert consultants to the responsible pathologist. Sends outpatient slides to in-area physician offices. Orders supplies as needed and performs routine data entry and data retrival functions.
