Position Description:
LCG's Finance and Accounting team is seeking an experienced and proficient Labor and Payroll Specialist responsible for processing all LCG timesheets, leave accruals, and payroll functions. This is a part time position to be no more then 7 - 8 days a month.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll, preparing accurate information for approval by deadline in payroll software (ADP).
- Process timesheet for 300 employees and 50 subcontractors within Deltek T&E and Costpoint.
- Provide timesheet guidance to new and existing employees; monitor electronic timesheets, contact department supervisors for missing timesheets and/or corrections.
- Ensure all semi-monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll and tax reports are maintained on SharePoint.
- Process the General Ledger Interface and submit report to the Accounting Manager.
- Support with annual and year-end audits.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end reconciliations for 940, 941, W2 and W3 reports.
- Provide excellent service when communicating with all other team members regarding questions pertaining to payroll and timesheets.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and personal information.
- Calculate and process semi-monthly leave accruals.
- Ensure payroll practices meet government compliance.
- The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of the accounting department by performing all duties and responsibilities as assigned, maintaining high levels of accuracy, always maintaining a professional demeanor, and providing excellent, proactive customer service.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelors Degree (preferred)
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Expert in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Deltek Costpoint & Time and Expense 8.1 or higher experience required.
- ADP payroll processing experience required.
- Must be able to multi-task and meet assigned deadline.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $53.00/hr to $70.00/hr benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $63.30/hr. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
