Labor & Employment Attorney

A local NYC area law firm is growing and eager to welcome an attorney with experience in Employment Law with a plaintiff-side focus. Candidates with a background in defense who are looking to transition to a plaintiff-oriented practice are also encouraged to apply. 

This is a fully remote partner-track opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters on behalf of plaintiffs, including cases related to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour violations.

• 
  

  Perform legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other necessary filings.

• 
  

  Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal hearings.

• 
  

  Offer expert legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.

• 
  

  Work closely with team members and support staff to provide thorough and effective representation for clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor 

• 
  

  Admission to NY and/or CT Bar and in good standing.

• 
  

  3 years of legal experience, with a focus on employment law.

• 
  

  Basic pleadings, motions, and complaints experience

• 
  

  Strong litigation and negotiation skills.

• 
  

  Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

• 
  

  Previous defense experience is a plus but not required.
