We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex labor and employment litigation matters, including wage & hour and class action.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on labor and employment-related matters, including but not limited to, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, ADA and FMLA issues.
- Handle class action lawsuits, representing our clients in various legal proceedings.
- Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, employment agreements, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of labor and employment law issues.
- Advise clients on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations and help them understand the potential impact on their businesses.
- Develop legal strategies for handling labor and employment matters and represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, at arbitration, and in mediation.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff employment litigation.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, witnesses, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to staying informed about changes and developments in labor and employment law.
