We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Labor & Employment Associate to join our thriving Legal team. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment issues, such as wage and hour disputes, workplace discrimination, and labor relations.
- Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including class action suits and labor actions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memorandums, briefs, motions, and other court documents.
- Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Develop and present training on labor and employment law topics for clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure the highest level of client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 2+ years of labor and employment litigation experience, including class action and labor actions.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent legal writing and research skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment.
- Strong commitment to client service and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using legal research software.
