Job Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory procedures such as buffer, reagent, and membrane solution preparation.&
The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of laboratory operations.&
The technician will handle chemicals, perform calculations, and assist in maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment.&
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with good manual dexterity and basic lab skills.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare buffers, reagents, membrane solutions, and test solutions.
Perform basic mathematical calculations and data manipulations using a computer or calculator.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation, including routers, labels, and inventory.
Keep the laboratory clean, safe, and efficient.
Order and maintain laboratory supplies, and ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
Follow GMP requirements and established safety procedures in all activities.
Utilize quality concepts and tools in daily tasks.
Conduct laboratory experiments and solution tests under close supervision, as needed.
Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Chemistry or related life sciences, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in general laboratory techniques such as filtration, pipetting, reagent preparation, and weighing.
Experience with handling chemicals.
Good eyesight, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a medical device assembly firm or clinical laboratory.
Prior GMP experience or training.
No chemical allergies or sensitivities.
