Title: Lab Network Technician ( Part-Time)

Duties:
Lab Network Technician will maintain the technical marketing engineering lab inventory located in the Sunnyvale HQ building B, fulfill connection requests in the lab which includes but not limited to routers and switches, rack mounted servers.
In this role you will be responsible for:
· Connecting lab systems together using copper and fiber optic cabling.
· Updating systems as necessary by adding/moving hardware modules and other components.
· Disconnect lab systems once a test has been completed.
· Update Inventory as necessary.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
· Ability to resolve problems by following standard practices and procedures, escalating issues to appropriate manager in a timely manner.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts and virtualization.
· Basic understanding of optical and electrical transceivers.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision. Complete tasks on time. Provide good follow up to questions. Maintain a high quality of work.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, analyze data, communicate, and defend results.
· System Administrator skills and/or knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems are a plus.
Education:
Qualifications include:
· BS/BA in Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunications
