The lab clerk performs various administrative duties that help the lab group meet departmental goals in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”
Pay Rate: $15.57 - $21.84 per hour
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Registers the day’s samples on the computer
- Adds new customers and machine compartments to the database as needed
- Verifies customer address or machine ownership where needed
- Completes the manual data entry
- Ensures test data is complete and correct for evaluation
- Sorts lab’s daily run of customer reports and feedback copies of sample reports for the day
- Logs in Level II Coolant samples and ships out for test work as needed
- Assists in shipping out other samples for test work when needed
- Assists in getting the warranty letters out
- Assists in invoicing special sample services as needed
- Performs various administrative tasks to support the lab
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years administrative/clerical experience
- 1-3 years customer service experience
Physical Demands & Competencies:
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
- Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
- Safety & Product Knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
Work Environment:
- Noise: Quiet
- Indoors
