L1 Network Engineer - Judge Group

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Consulting Engineer who will be responsible for working with their customers to design, document, and implement robust networking solutions. This position requires a blend of technical competence, teamwork, and customer service skills to successfully run a Post-Sale Professional Services engagement. The Consulting Engineer will be assigned to a single customer to work through network device upgrades, documentation, racking and stacking of equipment, system configuration, and general troubleshooting. 

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Acts as an onsite technical implementation network engineer for local customers.
• Generates and implements network configurations for the assigned customers.
• Generate documentation for customer sites and customers covering the state of Arizona.
• Ensures smooth transition of documentation to the Managed Services team as required.
• Performs analysis and diagnosis of networking problems.
• Provide technical support for routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies to customers.
• Invest time in continued education to learn new networking/security technologies and keep certifications current.
• Willing to travel to sites across the state of Arizona. Some sites may require overnight stays while others can be done as day trips.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate's degree in networking/related field OR equivalent work experience.        
• Cisco networking industry experience and knowledge of products and protocols.
• CCNA-R&S is highly desired, OR a combo of certifications and work experience.  
• Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills with Routing/Switching/Wireless across Cisco platforms are highly desired.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and IOS-XE. Cisco IOS-XR, NX-OS, and Aruba-OS experience is desired.
• Knowledge of / experience with Cisco Meraki (Hardware, Dashboard, etc.)
• Knowledge of Palo and/or Fortinet FW’s would be desired.
• Knowledge/use of Wireshark or similar network capture tools to diagnose IP-related issues.
• Knowledge of Network Management Systems (Cisco PI, Solarwinds, etc.).
• Good verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
• Experience with performing wireless surveys using Ekahau is desirable.
