We are seeking an energetic, skilled Sanitation Technician in our Penn Yan, NY location.
We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
Main Functions:
Sanitation is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the facility, surrounding area and equipment.
Schedule:
Wednesday-Saturday | pick your own 10 hr block between 4am-5pm.
The expected compensation range for this position is: $19.00 + / hour

- Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
- Comply with KanPak policies & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as state and federal law to ensure food safety and food defense in plant.
- Comply with SOP’s.
- Prepare for state, federal and customer inspections.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to remove all remnants of product in machines and surrounding area.
- Clean and sanitize walls, shelves, racks conveyor belts, floors and all other equipment and machinery in production rooms.
- Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Communicate potential issues, concerns, or risks with supervisor to achieve resolution.
- Consistently works with chemicals on a daily basis, must wear proper PPE while handling Chemicals.

Employment Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of Experience in the Manufacturing Industry
Work environment: Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet as work typically includes prolonged standing and walking in a fast-paced environment. Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching and kneeling. Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 10-20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of greater than 50 pounds. May be exposed to various allergens. Work takes place indoors near hot equipment and requires the safe and proper handling of cleaning equipment and supplies, including chemicals and hand tool. This position requires working at elevated heights and using motorized equipment such as a pallet jack, forklift, or scissors lift (training will be provided).
