Industry- Manufacturer of battery systems, business unit of a large Korean company, about 230 employees in this division, reports to the Business Planning Leader
Hours- full-time
Address- Westborough, MA (close to 495 and Route 9)
WFH situation- 3-4 days onsite (ideally 4)
Background check- yes, background & drug screen (including marijuana)
Vaccinated- not required
Why open- Long-term contract. An employee is returning to Korean, so they are looking to replace that person with a long-term Contractor. This team reports to the Division CEO and does long-term planning, reporting, competitor analysis, presentations, etc. for the Division CEO and Headquarters in Korea.
Must haves:
-Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant major
-3+ years of business or financial planning experience
-Korean speaking
-MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
Nice to haves:
-Master's or MBA
Job Description:
The Business Planning Manager will be a key member of the Business Planning team, reporting to the Business Planning Team Leader. This individual will work closely with various internal business groups and will be directly involved in ensuring the management of daily business activities, supervision of work, and communication with parent company located in Seoul, Korea. The Business Planning team reports directly to the CEO and works on various strategy & business analysis related reports and presentations.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing annual business planning, and leading periodic review of long-term and short-term goals, revenue and profit forecasting, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) review and establishment.
- Strategize, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth.
- Lead preparing of internal reports and supplementary materials to CEO and HQ for periodic business activities and other inquires.
- Design daily operational programs that produce organizational objectives.
- Establish and grow relationships with appropriate partners.
- Participate in competitive analysis.
- Support customer-facing operations, including sales, marketing, and public relations.
- Supervise overall business activities and respond to issues as they arise.
- Establish and maintain periodic business leadership and other regular meetings.
Qualifications
Excellent business judgment and appropriate decision-making ability.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proven ability to “roll up” her/his sleeves and get involved at a detailed level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a capacity to build strong working relationships across the organization; and
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Bilingual in English / Korean.
