Job Description:
- The candidate for this position is required to perform daily warehouse functions.
- The candidate must be able to maintain the daily processes in the operations of kitting department.
- Individual must be well organized and self-motivated, will have little to none supervision.
- Ability to manage 4+ employees, keeping them focused on individual tasks.
- Maintain company equipment in working order and promote a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Insure all managed employees are following company standards, procedures, and direct instructions.
- Attend all department related meetings; provide accurate feedback on the kitting department as well as precise reports for daily, weekly, and monthly filings as needed.
- Assist and work with other company departments to ensure product is produced to company standard and follows distribution channels in a correct and timely manner.
- The candidate must be able to use different methods, including but not limited to, the use of a computer, identification tags/stamps, electronic marking tool and/or other labeling equipment.
- Confirm travelers are printed out and filled and issued as complete by end of day.
- Print sales orders and deliver finished orders to shipping in a timely manner
- Fill shortages once product becomes available with attention to priority product based on ship date
- Track inventory and request product based on stock level and/or need based off of current/future work flow
Job Requirements:
- Good understanding and basic knowledge of a warehouse and packaging environment.
- Ability to handle intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Able to function in a working environment is comfortable atmosphere with irregular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, and/or loud noise, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
- Ability to work well with others: A 'team player' attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed. Time management skills; strong organizational skills; an ability to juggle multiple tasks; flexible and resourceful.
Specific Position Requirements:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED, preferred Associate's Degree +.
- Must have 2+ years of experience in management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred experience with Epicor ERP software.
