Position Title: Kitchen Worker
Reports to: Kitchen Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt and Full-Time

Salary: $18-20/hour, commensurate with experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Kitchen Worker will work under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager. The Kitchen Worker will work collaboratively with the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef to ensure the proper and timely preparation of over 130,000 hot nutritious meals annually. The Kitchen Worker will ensure all food is handled and prepared according to health guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare salads, assist head chef with the preparation of side dish and main dish.
- Maintain a clean work environment (i.e. stock sanitary buckets, rags, and clean cutting boards)
- Perform all duties of a dishwasher including operating dish machine, putting away dishes, maintaining 3 compartment sinks.
- Cleaning, including but not limited to dishes, hot boxes, and weekly/monthly deep cleaning.
- Adhering and completing temperature and waste logs.
- Assist with inventory of food, supplies, and donations.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Minimum of one year experience in a kitchen environment
- Available to work flexible hours
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
- Able to work well with diverse and difficult populations
