About the Job
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness and efficiency of the dunnage and kitchen areas of the hotel. This person should expect dishwashing and cleaning as their daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Empties all trash receptacles and recycling bins in the kitchen.
- Rinse, clean, sanitize dishes and glassware and put away.
- Wash all dishes and pots in compliance with the local health standards.
- Sweep & mop floors, maintaining a clean, orderly and safe kitchen.
- Spot-cleans walls and equipment.
- Transport and carry food items as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires walking and standing for an entire shift
- Requires ability to perform light physical labor: Lifting, Reaching, Bending, Stretching, and Handling
