We execute our unique and original product line with the highest quality ingredients, a state-of-the-art brewing system, and the latest brewing practices. We strive to create meaningful relationships and memorable experiences with adventurous craft beverages from our taproom in Greeley and through our expansive distribution network.

These days consumers can find our beers far and wide but our taproom remains the hub that provides the full WeldWerks Experience. As of 2022, a major part of that experience is an on-site restaurant concept devoted to the same ideals that have always been the backbone of our production philosophy, and that’s a dedication to quality, innovation and experimentation.
With quality being at the forefront of all we do, the kitchen shift leads are responsible for ensuring that each dish crafted and served is a perfect representation of the intended execution and presentation. When the General Manager is not on site, the kitchen shift lead is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen is working efficiently, safely, and smoothly and that all tasks and responsibilities are executed to the highest standards.

Someone who can provide input on menu, process, and workflow improvements and who is a dynamic person that is interested in continually transforming our brewery to be the best it can be!
As our Kitchen Shift Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure the team is working efficiently and maintaining quality standards:
- Ensure each dish leaving the kitchen meets the expected standards of quality and presentation
- Keep line cooks on task as dictated by service volume, project prioritization, and routine side work needs
- Establish accountability through daily auditing of opening and closing checklists, cleaning and sanitation routines, and prep lists
- Adjust staffing needs on-shift to align with volume fluctuations by approving break schedules and cutting excess staff when appropriate
- Ensure the team is performing menu item and product inventory counts and communicating station needs
- Function as a leader within the kitchen:
- Promote an environment of positive and constant communication with the team while working on-line through leading by example and providing constructive feedback
- Provide in-the moment feedback and corrections as necessary and communicate performance issues to the General Manager
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and respond to needs in the moment
- Provide operational oversight:
- Train new employees with a consistent adherence to all training guidelines
- Provide feedback and suggested edits to SOPs, recipes, checklists, etc.
- Follow and ensure that all Food Safety guidelines are adhered to any staff members working in the kitchen
- Address health or safety issues that require adjustment or attention in real time and communicate fixes/needs to the General Manager
- Address complaints and be receptive to customer feedback
- Understand and utilize the appropriate communication channels with respect to situational needs
Details about our ideal candidate:
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum two years experience working in a kitchen environment, leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of and a passion for the culinary arts and the hospitality industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to use a POS system (Toast)
- Personal Competencies:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Communicate effectively with guests, leadership, and co-workers
- Ability to remain calm under pressure or when dealing with disgruntled guests
- Supervision Skills:
- Can use independent action in setting objectives and deciding how to proceed with daily operations
- Uses self direction in discovering tasks and keeping the team busy through slow periods
- Hours, Travel, and Physical Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old
- Work weekends, evenings, and events
- Full time availability with an emphasis on weekends and evenings
- Must be able to request time off with a minimum of two weeks notice (barring extenuating circumstances)
- Work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Frequently lift up to 80 pounds

Compensation Details:
This position qualifies to participate in the company tip pool. Tips are pooled and paid out on a monthly basis for all eligible positions.
