KITCHEN MANAGER
Locally-owned Sports Bar & Restaurant has an immediate opening for a Kitchen Manager.
JOB SUMMARY
The Kitchen Manager provides leadership and expertise in back-of-house operations, focusing on food quality, kitchen efficiency, and team development. This role ensures seamless kitchen functionality, drives cost control, and upholds company standards to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Development & Leadership:
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff with a structured training program.
- Empower team members to make decisions that enhance food quality and guest satisfaction.
- Continuously provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to staff, documenting performance when necessary.
- Establish a positive and safe kitchen environment, fostering teamwork and professionalism.
Operational Management:
- Manage all back-of-house hiring, scheduling, and staffing needs.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and timeliness.
- Monitor and control kitchen labor, food costs, and waste to achieve financial goals.
- Maintain all kitchen equipment, addressing repair and maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure all product purchases align with company-approved sources and maintain vendor relationships.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Stay up to date with CDC, NRA, and local health department guidelines to provide a safe work environment.
Guest Experience:
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service.
- Handle kitchen-related guest feedback or complaints, implementing solutions to improve experiences.
Inventory & Ordering:
- Manage food inventory and order supplies to meet restaurant demands while minimizing waste.
- Regularly evaluate product quality and vendor performance to maintain high standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the stamina to work up to 50 hours per week.
- Ability to move throughout the kitchen (standing, walking, bending) for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $60,000/year.
- Health Insurance Stipend: $300/month.
- Profit-Sharing Program included.
CURRENT HOURS OF BUSINESS OPERATION
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Wednesday-Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Friday-Saturday: 11:30 AM - 1:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM
