Job Summary
Diced Food’s Kitchen Manager enthusiastically leads and motivates the Kitchen Crew and other staff to ensure the highest quality food is used and served in all guest meals. The Kitchen Manager ensures the consistency of great food promptly served at Diced Food.
Responsibilities
The kitchen manager must teach, coach, and develop the kitchen team on all job responsibilities and duties.
Maintains ongoing proper food inventory levels and product pricing.
Ensure that food inventory is conducted and food orders are placed on time.
Assists with ordering and maintenance of all food and paper inventories.
Assures that all safety and security procedures are followed within the restaurant.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared on time by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocols and state department health regulations
Maintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
Assists the General Manager with the recruiting and hiring of Kitchen Crew and Utility Staff.
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
Perform additional tasks as assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications
A high School Diploma or equivalent is required; a culinary degree preferred
2-3 years restaurant kitchen experience.
Has held responsible positions of Prep or Line Cook.
Ability to train, guide and lead staff.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Good problem solving techniques.
Good interpersonal skills, works well with a team.
Good organization and time management skills.
Valid drivers license with reliable transportation.
