Looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our back of house management team!
Arancino, locally owned and voted 'Best Italian Restaurant in Hawaii' specializes in Italian cuisine. We have three restaurants in Honolulu, two in Waikiki which are Arancino on Beachwalk and Arancino di Mare in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort. The third and newest is in The Kahala Hotel Resort.
Summary:
Kitchen management position working along side a team of kitchen managers to develop hourly team to execute company recipes to company standards. Will be working with many fresh ingredients daily through prep and line production. Checking the quality of ingredients, prepped items and line production must be done frequently. Working with the management team to create a positive and productive environment are essential.
Tasks:
Train and develop cooks daily to build good habits
Educate and hold cooks accountable to food safety and sanitation standards
Responsible for meeting/exceeding company standards on food quality and presentation
Hire, train and retain hourly cooks
Ensures routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and kitchen equipment
Responsible for keeping all coolers (walk-in and reach-in) clean and organized
Requirements:
Personality:
Self-driven, result-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality service. Professional and patient when developing hourly team. Always leads by example. Able to lead and follow as a member of the kitchen manager team.
Skills/Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication is needed. Culinary skills are required for this position.
