Job Qualifications
To be successful in this Kitchen Manager role, you’ll need:
- Proven leadership skills, with experience supervising a team of 10+ employees.
- Proficiency in managing food and labor costs to meet business targets.
- Deep knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices (food handler's permit required).
- Expertise in maintaining efficiency in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Culinary degree preferred (but not required).
Bonus Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of restaurant leadership experience, preferably managing operations with an annual sales volume of $4.0M+.
- Passion for fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
Job Responsibilities
As our Kitchen Manager in Gastonia, NC, your responsibilities include:
- Supervising food preparation and ensuring consistency with established recipes and procedures.
- Enforcing compliance with employment policies, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Overseeing ticket times to maintain efficient service flow.
- Managing Back of House (BOH) employees, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Conducting inventory checks, managing food costs, minimizing waste, and controlling labor costs.
- Setting employee schedules and assigning tasks during and after service hours.
- Ensuring the proper handling, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment that reflects our core values.
