Salary: $35,000 - $60,000/year based on experience

Green Spoon Kitchen is looking to hire a full-time kitchen manager for our growing catering business. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, kind, positive, works well with others, and can maintain a sense of urgency. Job Description: The candidate will be working on and off-site events alongside our chef and team. They will be responsible for preparing ingredients by washing and cutting vegetables and meat. Undertake basic cooking duties such as marinating proteins, slicing meats, basic sauce work, cleaning vegetables, pickling, basic baking, and the ability to prepare simple dishes. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash. Should be proficient at following verbal directions as well as prep list. The candidate will work closely with the executive chef. The kitchen manager will also be responsible for managing staff when chef is not present. These responsibilities will include managing cooks during prep shifts, assigning tasks from the provided prep list, helping properly put away and store received items, opening and closing responsibilities, and assisting with event management.
Experience and Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years minimum as a cook/prep cook in a full-service restaurant (excluding fast casual)
Basic knife skills
A culinary degree is a plus but not required
Must be able to frequently carry up to 50 lbs
Must be positive, collaborative and committed to healthy communication and quality work
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Will need a valid Food Handler Management Certification for this role
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Some management experience is preferred but not required
30-40 hours per week depending on the event schedule and seasonality
