Compensation: Up to $90,000 total compensation annually
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the culinary operations of our American classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant in CA. This role is crucial for maintaining high culinary standards, managing kitchen staff training and development, and ensuring overall kitchen profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor adherence to established culinary training standards.
Lead the ongoing training and professional development of kitchen staff.
Strategically plan for kitchen needs and growth opportunities, including menu development and kitchen logistics.
Manage and oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation.
Address and resolve any kitchen-related customer feedback promptly.
Conduct regular kitchen staff meetings to ensure alignment, focus, and adherence to culinary standards.
Lead and uphold the highest standards of kitchen and workplace safety, conducting regular safety committee meetings.
Drive initiatives to optimize food cost, waste reduction, and overall kitchen profitability.
Collaborate in developing and overseeing strategic marketing and operational plans related to the kitchen and menu offerings.
Mentor and guide kitchen trainees and new hires, building a strong and skilled culinary team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef within the restaurant industry, preferably in a setting serving American classic cuisine.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, train, and develop a kitchen team.
Excellent organizational and planning skills, focused on kitchen operations and future needs.
Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food cost management, and kitchen logistics.
Experience in conducting effective staff meetings and training sessions.
Financial acumen with a history of enhancing kitchen profitability.
Strategic mindset, ideally with experience in contributing to marketing and operational strategies.
