Title of Position: Kitchen Manager/Executive Chef

Job Description: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of the property. The Kitchen Manager will hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, the Kitchen Manager will ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly. The Kitchen Manager must also make sure that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing food cost, kitchen labor cost, optimizing profit for the company and creating the best experience possible for customers.

Qualifications:

• The Kitchen Manager must have a positive and friendly attitude and be able to assist customers
• Kitchen Manager must have attention to detail and be able to regulate food standards, costs, safety, and food quality
• The Kitchen Manager must have excellent problem-solving skills
• The Kitchen Manager must be able to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff
• The Kitchen Manager should have 2+ years of kitchen management experience
• The Kitchen Manager should be experience with banquets and events
