Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk supports the Accounting Supervisor in the Key Accounts Division by working within the Accounts Receivables team to create consolidated customer billing reports, maintaining department accounting records, and providing accounting support to our key account customers. Key Account customers are the largest national customers Alsco has, so you’ll be working directly with some of the largest Fortune 500 companies in North America to ensure accurate monthly accounting reports. This position works closely with our Key Account Managers, Branch Operations and our Accounting Department. This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:
- Create and distribute monthly billing to customers.
- Record and reconcile incoming and outgoing checks for Key Accounts.
- Maintain customer files to keep information current and accurate.
- Build, maintain, and review Excel spreadsheet data.
- Problem resolution with internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned by Accounting Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2-years of book keeping or accounting experience required
- Basic competency with core Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel; basic experience with writing formulas preferred, ability to learn and be trained as required.
- Professional customer service skills and telephone etiquette
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a support role
- Organized and detail focused, ability to work on a variety of tasks, prioritize, and meet monthly deadlines.
Working Environment:
- Typical indoor office environment, working space, meeting rooms, lunch room
- Physical demands for the shift consist of standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs, typing, hearing, and speaking.
Pay DOE: $45,000 to $55,000
