About the Job
Willamette Valley Vineyards is in search of a Key Account Specialist to be a part of our National Sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients on behalf of Willamette Valley Vineyards, and will be able to manage multiple customer accounts while providing excellent customer service.
Since Jim Bernau founded the winery in 1983, Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown to over 260,000 cases in annual production and from 15 acres of vines in the Salem Hills of Oregon to over 1000 acres of estate vineyards. The company employs over 350 dedicated craftspeople, wine professionals, and hospitality staff, including over 40 managers who oversee 10 Tasting Room locations, sales, production and vineyard care. Willamette's Tasting Rooms are in Oregon, Southwest Washington, and Folsom, California.

What we ask:
The Key Account Specialist will build and maintain long-term customer relations and understand customer queries to resolve them in a timely manner to support our growth targets. They should be able to assist in planning and implementing effective sales strategies and conduct in-depth market research to identify potential leads. Familiarity with the wine sales industry and problem-solving abilities are needed for this position.
Responsibilities
- Achieving sales goals
- Make presentations to key accounts to achieve new placements, features, and displays.
- Processing and recording accurate and detailed customer data.
- Managing and maintaining customer accounts.
- Gathering customer requests and requirements.
- Assisting Regional Sales Manager in planning and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Analyzing and auditing customer documents.
- Acknowledging customer queries and complaints and resolving concerns.
- Preparing and presenting data analysis reports.
- Implementing and monitoring solution strategies.
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relations.
- Assisting in generating potential leads.
- Coordinating with internal and external team members.
- Ensuring that all customers receive products and services on time.
Requirements
- Proven work experience in the wine sales industry as a Key Account Specialist or a similar role.
- Up to 85% travel time, and as required based on needs of the evolving needs of the business.
- Complete knowledge of the trends and developments in the sales industry.
- Familiarity with our software and systems or like systems: GreatVines, WineDirect, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must have a reliable car and valid drivers license.
