Busch Vacuum Solutions has a direct-hire opportunity for a Key Account Manager for our Medium High Vacuum market! This position is up to 75% travel, predominately within the Northeast US region. Residency with the region is required, ideally within proximity to Albany, NY.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing business relationships with key customers, as well as developing new opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the overall business relationship with assigned customer(s)
- Works closely with management, engineering, factory and marketing professionals throughout both the customers’ and our organization
- Meets with key decision-makers and identifies business opportunities
- Develops account strategies; prepares and makes sales presentations; participates in technical meetings utilizing internal resources; negotiates contracts and manages joint technical projects
- Prepare quotes and closes on sales by obtaining proper customer approval, price, terms, and delivery schedules
- Forecast sales volume for assigned key accounts and meets established sales quota
- Coordinates new product introductions and arranges for product demonstrations, plant tours, training events and other activities that promote understanding of company products to customers
- Prepares regular progress reports and ensures that data is accurately entered into the company CRM system in a timely and thorough manner
- Communicates with other departments and customers to ensure satisfactory customer support
- Monitors our supplier performance for strategic customers and proposes actions for maintaining this performance at a high level
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development and related vacuum equipment sales experience
- In-depth knowledge of vacuum technology and company products is highly desired
Experience in the analytical instrument market is preferred - Experience working with Global Foundries preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree: Required, Field of Study: Engineering or related degree: Preferred
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Preferred
- Certifications & Licenses: Must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Personal Qualifications
- Residency in NY, ME or MA is highly preferred, Albany, NY region is ideal
- Outstanding Math skills

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
- Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
- Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and manually manipulating
- Occasional reaching above the shoulder or outward, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 20lbs
- All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection
