About the Job
Who you are:
The Key Account Manager is a pivotal role managing and enhancing our relationships with key retail customers. This role is responsible for all aspects of customer relationship management including but not limited to the following: Working with customer to understand and execute customers' merchandise plan; partnering with our supply chain organization to optimize customer's inventory management; leveraging customer insights and converting to organic growth; monitoring sales order processing and delivery; and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and credits. This role integrates closely with our supply chain, finance, warehouse and transportation teams. Success in this role is measured by NPS (Net Promotor Score); Sales to Budget; Fill Rate for Promotional and lead (A) items; reducing controllable credits; and limiting aged inventory.
What you will be doing:
Customer Relationship Management:
- Be the Voice of the Customer within
- Establish trustworthy relationships with customer's leadership, management and associates.
- Lead and execute communications strategy as appropriate with customer and support of customer merchandise plans.
- Strategically plan to improve client results. •
- Customer Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues promptly
- Promotion Management: Management of all aspects of Promotions, including but not limited, ensuring allocations of inventory are appropriately made, monitoring and reporting on all aspects of execution, holding stores accountable to taking product, and working with internal and external teams to do a debrief on program results.
- Ensuring Operational Efficacy: Work with Distribution Manager to establish and execute order to delivery times and schedules; Work with Technology department to leverage technology to drive more efficient execution of sales order process and customer engagement.
- Internal collaboration: working closely with Buyers in Supply Chain to create a strong team to deliver on customer expectations.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Education -Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field.
- Experience -5+ years in account management is required
- Specific skills and attributes
- Proven experience in account management or related field is required
- Bias to action
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience using an ERP is required
- Basic-Intermediate knowledge of wine; understanding of grocery and/or hospitality industry
