POSITION OVERVIEW
The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving distribution, programming and volume
growth within assigned territory. This role will work directly for the Director of Sales Strategy to develop
and grow new/existing business in regional chain accounts.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage retail accounts at regional and local level to obtain authorizations and programming.
· Interface with distributor key account teams throughout the sales process and wired into their
organization.
· Engage internal frontline Area Managers and Retail Account Managers to support in-store
execution and selling initiatives.
· Utilize insights from syndicated data, internal reporting and distributor data to identify
opportunities that support company strategic objectives by using fact-based selling techniques.
· Regularly update leadership team on progress and account performance.
· Identify and communicate promotional & point of sale needs internally and with distributors
across assigned territory.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS:
· Excellent interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills
· Sales experience in Alcohol Beverage or CPG industry
· Strong organizational skills
· Proven track record of successful territory management
· Experience with reporting systems: iDig, Nielsen’s, IRI, Numerator, Mintel, etc.
· Proficient in Excel and PPT
· A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
· Ability to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000 10% bonus (paid monthly) car allowance cell phone allowance benefits.
