Job Summary
We are looking for a Jr. Technical Architect for our financial client with banking and, ideally, community banking or credit union experience. The ideal candidate will have a good data and system integration design and architecture background. The Architect works across Technology and Business Teams to design solutions that meet business needs; align with Enterprise Architecture, Data, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure standards; and scale to support our client's growth trajectory.

The ideal candidate will have a good data and system integration design and architecture background. The Architect works across Technology and Business Teams to design solutions that meet business needs; align with Enterprise Architecture, Data, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure standards; and scale to support our client's growth trajectory.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner across Member Solutions and Enterprise Solutions to provide solution architecture services for new, existing, and sunsetting technology solutions.
- Create architectural diagrams, data diagrams, technical designs, and specifications for implementing SaaS, custom solutions, and integrations.
- In partnership with the Enterprise Architect, document and maintain architectural data diagrams and specifications for the client's core banking and enterprise platforms.
- Support the design and implementation of scalable technology solutions that will enable exceptional employee and member experiences.
- Create technical roadmaps that align/deliver on corporate strategy and ensure maintenance of modern, scalable technologies and platforms.
- Evaluate current technology eco-system making recommendations for consolidating applications/streamlining system integrations.
- Develop/modify complex system/software implementations, which include batch and real-time integrations.
- Provide guidance to the technology teams in installing and testing new system releases and fine-tuning existing systems.
- Assist in evaluating new application packages and identifying anticipated systems architecture and requirements for planning purposes.
- Mentor, share knowledge, and collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and analysts across the organization.
- Work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with other teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
- Partners directly with Enterprise Architecture to drive the strategic architecture vision.
- Partners directly with Enterprise Architect in driving standards across diagrams and solution designs.
- Partner with the Analytics team to drive strategic vision at the local level.
- Partners directly with the specific technology subject matter experts and technical team to work across the stack and ensure that architecture is integrated and holistic rather than siloed.
- Support the design and implementation of a DevOps support model, including technology tools.
- Perform Design and Architecture Snapshots, Technology Evaluations, and POCs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 3+ years' experience with systems integration and/or delivering applications using software as a service methodology.
- Experience leveraging REST-based APIs to build applications/integrations.
- Experience in Banking Technologies such as Client, Meridian Link, Alkami, and Branch Technologies.
- Experience in Enterprise Technologies such as Workday, Salesforce, Enterprise Content Management, DocuSign, Jira, and others.
- Prior roles/experience as a Solutions Architect (banking domain), Systems Analyst, or Tech Lead that supported banking functions preferred.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile Methodologies, and CI/CD, including the use of Jenkins, Docker, and GitHub.
- Web development and database development experience is a plus. Knowledge of ETL functions.
- Data analysis and knowledge of report writing.
- Knowledge of cloud implementations in a hybrid environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment, including employees, vendors, and third-party contractors.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Strong understanding and adherence to IT SDLC and operational best practices.
- Experience with the following technologies: .NET, File transfer (MFT), SQL, and Python is a plus.
- Experience with TOGAF or a related Enterprise Architecture framework is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ETL development, including development patterns and best practices.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Knowledge of banking data and core systems.
- Knowledge of data governance and data management technologies and methodologies.
- Experience in VDI environments such as Citrix.
