Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Review financial records, income statements, and expenses to ensure accurate tax return preparation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client benefits.
- Provide tax planning services to help clients reduce their tax liabilities and plan for future tax situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries, explaining tax complexities in a clear and understandable manner, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct thorough research to resolve complex tax issues and provide expert advice to clients.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software such as Lacerte, GoSystems, or TaxWise.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
