Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes.
- Review and analyze specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to support the estimating process.
- Maintain and update a database of cost information for materials, equipment, and labor.
- Assist in preparing proposals and tracking project budgets to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Provide basic insights on cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to team projects and perform other tasks as assigned by the VP of Engineering.
- Other responsibilities requested by VP of Engineering
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and a knack for working with numbers.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings or specifications is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Education Requirements:
- An Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or estimating environment is helpful but not necessary—we’re willing to train the right candidate!
Other Details:
- Work Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing settings.
- Physical Demands: Primarily office work, with occasional light lifting (up to 25 pounds).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.
- Travel: Minimal local travel may be required.
