Junior Litigation Paralegal - Matura Farrington

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation attorneys in all phases of case preparation and management. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking to grow in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in case preparation, including conducting legal research and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed and updated in compliance with court rules and firm procedures.
• Prepare and manage discovery documents, including document production and review.
• Coordinate and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials, including the preparation of trial binders and exhibits.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules.
• Maintain case calendars, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely filing of documents.
• Conduct factual research and summarize findings for attorney review.
• Assist with the preparation of case budgets and tracking litigation expenses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; paralegal certificate preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.
• Strong understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology.
• Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with case management software a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
