What does a successful Java Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
+ You will be part of an Agile team involved in designing, developing, testing and deploying APIs and microservices in cloud-native technologies.
+ You will be a valuable technical resource designing and developing enterprise solutions on on-prem solution and working with Solution Architects and will have an opportunity to work effectively on big and complex projects independently, and within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
+ Your work will help financial institutions and consumers around the world with quick, secure, and reliable transactions and solutions to their needs.

What you will do:
+ Actively participate as a key member of the Agile Team, providing the necessary technical expertise and guidance to the team members, primarily responsible for delivering best-in-class technical solutions
+ Analyze business and functional requirements to understand system and operational impacts
+ Analyze, design, program, debug, test and modify software enhancements and/or new products for application area
+ Provide the necessary technical expertise to the Product Owner, Application Owner, and Program Manager to plan and assign work (stories and tasks) to associates
+ Identify and recommend changes in software applications and interfaces, processes, and procedures
What you will need to have:
+ 5+ years of experience using Java/J2EE, Source Code Management (GITHUB, Maven and Azure Repos), SoapUI, microservice development (Spring Boot), and CI/CD DevOps (ADO, Jenkins)
+ 5+ years of experience developing REST APIs and enterprise applications using Java/J2EE full-stack technologies
+ 3+ years of experience developing applications using front-end/UI technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
+ 3+ years of experience using one or more relational and non-relational NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis), as well as JDBC, XML, XSD, and JSON
+ 3+ years of experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
+ 3+ years of experience with application security involving AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Auditing) and security patterns like AUTH2.0, JWT/JWS
What would be great to have:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or relevant field
+ Prior experience in the finance or debit/credit cards domain
+ Experience with Kafka and event-based architecture leading strategy, governance, and execution of event-based architecture
+ Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Event Hub, Azure Blob Storage, and Stream Analytics
+ Experience with the end-to-end DevOps CI/CD pipeline including one or more of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, Gitlab, and SonarQube
+ Experience in the day-to-day practicalities of Agile software Product Development Lifecycles such as Scrum, SAFe, DAD, Lean Agile, Kanban, etc.
