Responsibilities
**THIS POSITION HAS AN END DATE ONE YEAR FROM HIRE.**
**Position Summary:**
The Integration Developer will provide technical expertise in the design, development, configuration, testing, debugging, integration, implementation, maintenance, and security of solutions, including the delivery and support of core IT applications and systems. The Integrator is part of a team that supports planning and implementation of new systems or functions (focused on Workday) and ensures that application maintenance and upgrades are delivered on-time and with quality. The Integration Developer typically takes work direction from the Senior or Lead Developers. The primary focus of this role is intended to be workday hcm with expansion into workday finance, procurement and/or student.
**Responsibilities:**
**Supporting the assigned technical area:**
+ Provides technical support for non-production and production environments, including trouble shooting and remediation of technical issues, may include working with third party vendors and software companies.
+ Answers end user requests for support and provides on call support after hours as defined by the application support requirements.
+ Works with various technical and functional personnel as needed to fulfill requests for support services.
**Project work / enhancements:**
+ Works with users or functional / business analysts to understand and translate business requirements into technical or systems specifications to solve business problems, including program and logic flows, file/data base design, etc.
+ Completes assigned application / integration development or configuration deliverables, including the design, development, testing and implementation of applications, integrations, enhancements and other customizations.
+ Participates in application or system design reviews and code/configuration walkthroughs.
+ Updates technical documentation to be used by technical development or support teams, with direction from senior or lead developer.
+ Participates in the testing newly developed applications, integrations, systems and solutions.
+ Follows best practice code and change management procedures.
+ Works closely with functional and technical testers to prepare test plans, test data and complete integrated testing.
+ Participates in systems projects or enhancements, delivering on assigned technical tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates.
**Participates in team assignments to improve the work product:**
+ Participates in regular team retrospective events with a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities, logs technical requests and delivers upon technical assignments that improve the system solution.
+ Shares technical knowledge and provides cross-training, peer support and participates in team meetings.
+ Participates in estimation and planning of future technical work plans.
+ Updates technical documentation and procedures used to maintain applications, programs and systems.
**Professional Growth:**
+ Develops a broad knowledge of technology, equipment, and or systems in the assigned functional area.
+ Develops a broad knowledge of the latest functionality associated with cloud-based applications such as Workday Studio and Boomi, best practices, and trends of cloud computing.
+ Participates in external technical specific communities of practice with a goal of gaining technical knowledge.
Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required
+ 1 to 2 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified required.
+ Equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education required.
+ Experience in higher education field preferred
**Required Technical Skills:**
+ Proficiency with reporting tools workday report writer, IBM Cognos, SSRS and Tableau is preferred
+ Experience with integration tools such as Boomi, Mulesoft, or IBM is preferred
+ Experience with workday studio is preferred
+ Ability to learn new technologies quickly
+ Ability to translate business needs into solution requirements.
+ Good understanding of the basics of OO programming required.
+ Experience in the Oracle on Unix DBMS environments
+ Experience with SQL programming
+ Ability to provide on-call support as required.
+ 1-2 years + Finance experience preferred, specifically with reporting

+ Proven customer oriented approach to problem solving
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet required deadlines
+ Ability to contribute both individually and as part of or technically leading a team
**Preferred:**
+ Tableau Desktop Associate Level 1
+ Workday Report Writer certificate
