Junior Financial Analyst Contractor

Our client is a leading firm seeking a dedicated and analytical Junior Financial Analyst Contractor to join their team. This position is crucial for supporting the implementation of process improvements and helping to balance the workload among the existing team members. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, curious, and communicative professional, capable of contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Key Junior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Provide support during the month-end close process, including managing journal entries (ME JE) and reconciliations.
- Assist with commodity settlement and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Offer ad hoc support to various teams, addressing and resolving financial queries as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Engage in balancing workload among team members, ensuring equitable distribution of tasks.
Junior Financial Analyst Experience Requirements:
- Junior Level: 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
- Previous experience working in large companies is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills. Exposure/experience with PowerBI is a PLUS
Educational Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related/adjacent field is required.
- Additional designations (e.g., CPA, CFA) are considered a plus.

- Strong analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Curious, asks lots of questions with a constant drive to learn and improve processes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating insights and collaborating with team members.
