We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Commercial (Convenience center/fuel center) to join our Engineering team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in commercial construction, blueprint reading, cost control, convenience store, and fuel center management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from initial planning to completion, ensuring that all project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee commercial projects, specifically convenience centers and fuel centers, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
3. Track project performance and make necessary corrections to ensure project success.
4. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and tasks.
5. Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the project scope and to provide direction to the team.
6. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
7. Conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
8. Manage the budget, track project costs, and make necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
10. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in commercial projects involving convenience centers and fuel centers.
3. Proven track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost control, blueprint reading, and project management principles.
5. Experience in managing convenience store and fuel center projects.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
8. Proficiency in project management software tools.
9. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
10. Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
