Junior Electrical Engineer
Position Summary:

The Jr. Electrical Engineer for our will assist in proposal developments for projects, review project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards, design and implement hardware and software solutions in coordination with other engineers and other functions. He/She will use commercially viable hardware including Drives/VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, PCs, embedded PCs, Client/Servers, sensors, actuators etc. along with commercially viable software and development environments to design, program, simulate, and commission automation systems for a variety of applications in industries including Metals manufacturing, mining, material handling, pulp & paper, marine, and O&G.

Essential Job Functions

• System design for VFDs / DC Drives and Automation of plants & machinery
• PLC, HMI, and other industrial-equipment programming
• Schematic & Layout design for electrical & electronic Control Systems
• Simulation, testing, and documentation
• Commissioning of systems

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering
• Solid knowledge of basic electrical engineering
• Up to 5 years in Design & Implementation of Drives (VFDs and DC Drives), Industrial Automation/Control systems using PLCs, HMIs.
• Up to 5 years of Programming PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment for complex automation projects
• Up to 5 years direct work experience with Schematics & Panel layouts
• Preferred: Direct experience with implementation of systems with Ethernet/IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, DeviceNET, ProfiNET, Modbus TCP/IP
• Preferred: Rockwell, GE, Siemens, & Schneider PLC Platforms experience
