Kalman & Company is seeking a highly motivated, performance-driven individual with strong cost analysis experience to work closely with our United States Marine Corps (USMC) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients. This position will require on-site meeting attendance at corporate and/or client locations in Stafford, VA several times a month. Ideal candidates will live within a close proximity to Stafford, VA. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills and the ability to principally contribute to several of the largest and most significant studies in Kalman's portfolio.

Specific Duties:
- Lead, develop, update, manipulate, and maintain cost and affordability models in support of emerging capabilities and priority programs.
- Lead, develop, update, and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for supporting program analyses.
- Support data analytics and advanced analytics efforts
- Lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data.
- Conduct and manage program office estimates and reference them to build and defend budget requirements and forecast future funding needs.
- Evaluate program investment and acquisition strategies and courses of action.
- Conduct comparative decision analyses, includes Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Economic Analyses (EAs), and market research.
- Lead preparation of briefing materials and other communication packages presenting analysis results to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals.
- Have a strong understanding of Department of Defense and/or DHS Acquisition processes.
- Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection, analysis, and results presentation.
- Provide thought leadership clearly demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges of the customer.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field and successful completion of three semester hours of calculus and twenty-one semester hours in operations research, economics, math, chemistry, physics, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills in geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, or quantitative analyses
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a government-issued Security Clearance
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision.
- Experience conducting advanced mathematical and/or statistical methods and creating/ maintaining databases.
- Excellent analysis skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Education/Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience in DoD cost estimating and/or analysis
- Active Secret Clearance or higher
- Proficiency with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) and uncertainty/risk software packages (Crystal Ball, @Risk, SEER, etc.)
- Certification in cost estimation, Integrated Program Management, and/or EVM by a recognized professional society or educational organization (CCEA, DAWIA level II, AACE EVP, PMI, PMP, etc.)
- Experience supporting BCAs, AoAs, EAs, or other analytical studies.
