Job Purpose
To assist the Project Manager by participating in the concept definition processes to drive out requirements and design for strategic projects. To ensure consistency and quality of all project documentation. To serve as a liaison for the Project Manager with IT, Operations and the end-users to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements and resolve complex system problems.

Job Purpose

To serve as a liaison for the Project Manager with IT, Operations and the end-users to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements and resolve complex system problems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assists with managing mini projects with business units to understand their needs, gathers requirements and provides feedback to the Project Manager
- Communicates with management and staff relating to project status, issues, and risks
- Supports system patches and upgrades providing user training, system testing, process change management, and project coordination
- Assists with the development of user manuals and trainings to help educate users on current, new, or modified functionality
- Analyzes best practices in conjunction with internal and external subject matter experts
- Proactively consults with end users and business heads to clarify current operating procedures identifying opportunities for improvement delivered through technology solutions
- Provides appropriate support to web applications communicating with business units on status of key open issues
- Assists with the management of web application support tickets and upgrades with vendors
- QA of solutions, as appropriate, prior to end user delivery
- Ensures system enhancements are completed in a timely fashion, they follow the appropriate IT guidelines and meet or exceed user requirements
- Identifies system enhancements, documents business needs and determines development impact to current system processing
- Partners with the technical areas in the research and resolution of system and process problems
- Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects
- Participates in strategic review of projects to ensure the consistency of all mini projects
- Reviews operational procedures and methods and recommends changes for improvement with an emphasis on automation and efficiency
Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
- Analyzes requirements; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities; writes specifications
- Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
- Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
- Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; project team member
- Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users
- Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements – Skills
- Strong skills in working with relational databases
- Great knowledge of IT processes and willingness to constantly update knowledge
- Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and independently finding solutions to solving them in a timely manner
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
- Must excel at contributing to business discussions and eliciting requirements
- Inbuilt ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously while managing competing priorities
- Able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills
Education/Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Science, Information Systems, Business Administration and/or other related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Proven Project Management experience
- Significant knowledge and understanding of PM Methodology and SDLC experience
- Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment
- Exhibits good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and other applications
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records Software desirable
- Familiarity with medical equipment desirable
- Regulatory experience, such as Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing, desirable
