Job Description
CDM Smith currently has an opportunity for a Junior Billing Accountant to join our federal billing team out of our Fairfax, VA office. This position will work with a strong well-established billing team for our federal practice. An ideal candidate for this position would have strong knowledge of MS Excel and previous experience working in a billing, accounting, and/or finance focused role as part of an internship or recent new professional position.

Job Responsibilities include:
• Assists in preparation of client invoices for routine contracts, including reconciling to control reports, verifying contract terms, collating invoice packages, invoice distribution and filing and retention of documentation.
• Supports account collection activities, including identifying unpaid accounts and time since billing.
• Facilitates in reviews of monthly unbilled and suspense balances to establish appropriate source of activity.
• Contributes in review, analysis, and resolution activities involving client billing.
• Participates in review and analysis of routine client contracts.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree.
• 0 years or related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
