We are currently looking for a Junior Analyst-Economics on our Global Macro research-based team in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely within the global macroeconomics team, led by Nancy Lazar, a top II-ranked analyst for the past 25 years
- Take the lead in updating marketing presentations and dashboards.
- Assist associate analysts in crafting marketing materials, including creating and updating charts.
- Assist associate and senior analysts in updating reports and economic models.
- Actively participate in the publication process of frequent economic reports and facilitate communication for webinar events.
- Play a key role in managing client requests, including liaising with sales and promptly and efficiently responding to requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field; a dual degree or strong concentration in data science, mathematics, statistics, or computer science is a significant advantage
- Completed coursework in econometrics with an understanding of forecasting fundamentals
- Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working under extremely tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is a prerequisite.
- Working knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, VBA) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with economic data aggregators (Bloomberg, Haver, IHS) is a plus
- In the office four days per week.
- Required to work Sunday morning one out of every six weeks.

The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $50,000 - $150,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
