About the Job
SUMMARY:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for the recordkeeping and follow up of financial data of beMatrix USA. Their duties include day to day accounting, maintaining accurate financial records, examining and analyzing company accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the list below. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
- Daily processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing.
- Oversight and follow up of accounting inbox (vendor, customer, and regulatory requests).
- Daily reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
- Credit card and purchase order reconciliations.
- Depositing and processing vendor/customer checks.
- Providing statements of account balances to internal and external stakeholders.
- Audit individual accounts and check for inaccuracies.
- Journal Entries (fixed assets, accruals, taxes, inventory, etc).
- Month-end closing adjusting entries and support as needed.
- Generating bookkeeping reports (DSO, DPO, inventory valuation, etc).
- Create & maintain bookkeeping SOPs.
- Follow up of due accounts receivables.
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
- Communicate and resolve balance sheet reconciling items.
- Responsible for the entry of financial information in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaboration with CEO, CFO, Marketing Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant preference for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proven track record of taking initiative, working well with a team, and problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced knowledge and experience of excel (VLOOKUP, sumifs, Pivots).
- Ability to work independently.
- Analytical skills.
