About the Position
The Junior Accountant works closely with the Accounting Manager and is reportable to the Chief Operating Officer and is an important member of Rimland's Finance team. You will be responsible for providing accounting services including review of financial statements and supporting schedules and work papers.

About the Position
The Junior Accountant works closely with the Accounting Manager and is reportable to the Chief Operating Officer and is an important member of Rimland's Finance team. You will be responsible for providing accounting services including review of financial statements and supporting schedules and work papers.
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Preparing financial statements
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Enter into Quickbooks Online, vendor invoices as received
- Coordinate with audit professionals in year-end audit reporting.
- Prepare new reconciliations on an ad-hoc basis and continually look to improve existing procedures.
- Undergraduate degree, or comparable, in Accounting or Finance
- 1 - 3 years accounting/finance experience
- Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Online
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements
- Ability to review open work and produce timely and accurate records
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
- Applicants must be presently legally authorized to work in the United States for any U.S employer
- Location: Des Plaines, IL
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00PM
