We are seeking an entry level Permanent Tax Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in tax and financial accounting to contribute to our organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and compliance, and a proven track record in tax planning and audit. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial reports, tax returns, and planning strategies.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Accountant, your key duties will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
2. Conducting thorough financial analysis to assess potential tax liabilities and risks.
3. Developing and implementing effective tax planning strategies to optimize our financial performance and mitigate tax liabilities.
4. Conducting tax audits and investigations, resolving any discrepancies or issues.
5. Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensuring that our financial practices are up-to-date and compliant.
6. Collaborating with other financial team members to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and achieve overall business objectives.
7. Providing expert tax advice and guidance to senior management, assisting in strategic decision-making processes.
8. Liaising with tax authorities and external auditors, representing our organization in any tax-related discussions or disputes.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Accountant role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 6 months years of experience in tax accounting or schooling.
3. Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
4. Proficiency in financial accounting, including the use of financial software and databases.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide effective solutions.
6. Experience in tax preparation and audit, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-financial personnel.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle tax-related issues promptly and efficiently.
