The Role
The primary responsibilities of this position are to maintain all aspects of the Hyperion Financial Reporting/Budgeting System, Lawson Accounting System, Concur T&E System, and assist System Administrator with ad hoc projects including financial and accounting projects.
Financial System Management:
- Maintain and optimize the Hyperion Financial Reporting/Budgeting System, including writing reports, performing system refreshes, and ensuring ongoing system maintenance.
- Support the administrative needs of the Lawson Accounting System, including adding accounts/departments and managing month-end processes.
- Oversee Concur T&E and Invoice Systems, managing uploads, updates, and quarterly reviews of connected lists.
- Train new users on Hyperion, Lawson, and Concur systems, providing support and creating relevant documentation for staff and volunteers.
- Liaise with IT to ensure seamless data integration between Lawson and Hyperion, addressing any discrepancies or bugs.
- Collaborate with IT to implement system upgrades and process improvements.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain corporate financial statements for month-end, budget, and the 5-year Cash Flow Model.
- Prepare board meeting presentations and support other key meetings, including Budget, Audit, and Investment/Finance Committees.
- Assist with daily and event-specific reconciliations (e.g., US Open food, beverage, and merchandise reports).
- Support audits and cross-functional financial reporting as needed.
System Integration and Onboarding:
- Assist Sections with onboarding to USTA shared services, ensuring proper reporting, budgeting, and system setup.
- Provide ongoing support for integrated Sections throughout the year.
Process Improvements and Ad Hoc Projects:
- Identify and implement process enhancements and automation within the department.
- Support special projects related to financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, and event operations.
- Maintain and update the Accounting & Finance intranet site.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 3-5 years in a related role, with experience in financial systems and accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), Word, and other Office Suite tools.
- Experience with automated General Ledger systems (e.g., Lawson), financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion), and invoice/expense management platforms (e.g., Concur).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial system integrations and process optimization is a plus.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
