Job Description:
We are looking for an (Agile) Business Analyst to join our team.
You will be part of a highly motivated IT team, will work closely with IT architects, developers, testers, while keeping a close collaboration with the business and IT-counterparts on client side.
The main attributions are the Business Analyst tasks applied in Agile Context as part of Solution Delivery: requirements management in collaboration with Business Representatives, backlog management in collaboration with Product Owner, write User Stories, clarify queries raised by the team during or before the Sprint Delivery, Review Sprint Delivery (Test Functionality and validate Acceptance Criteria).
Apart from the responsibilities on Solution Delivery, the Business Analyst can be also involved in Analyze on Initiative Level, working together with Business Owners and IT-Project Leads to define and choose the most suitable Solution Option to achieve the business goals.
Responsibilities
Interact with business lines to clarify and understand business requirements
Analyze and propose Solution Options, assess feasibility, benefits and risks and provide opinions/recommendations to support decision making process
Analyze impact of business requirements on the existing systems and overall IT environment
Transform business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
Detail each selected feature in the form of a User Story small enough to be implemented within one sprint, and in a way that the team can understand and develop the user story
Ensure that User Stories are Ready for implementation (DoR is met)
Support developers during Sprint to clarify functional requirements
Handle sequencing and dependencies related to user stories
Participate and contribute to Agile events with the Team
Contribute to testing User Stories developed by the Agile team
Maintain the Backlog in collaboration with Product Owner (de-composition of User Stories, validation of User Stories, sorting and prioritization of backlog). He/She cannot replace the Product Owner who is the only backlog responsible and decision maker.
Provide effort estimates for the analysis work
Understands and prioritize Technical Stories suggested by the team as well as Defect Stories
Checks the new release for regression issues
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, Information Technology)
Very good expertise in translating business requests in IT requirements
Analytical thinking
Experience in working in an Agile environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills in English.
Knowledge regarding business analysis core concepts and business analysis techniques
Can easily and clearly communicate with business and IT colleagues
Are focused on finding solutions
Excel skills: Formulas, Data validation, Pivot tables, Charts, Data import
Knowledge of SQL, Entity Relationship Diagrams
Are familiar with application server, integration and database technologies
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
Have relevant certifications from PMI, IIBA, Scrum.org, Axelos organizations
Budgeting and Forecasting experience
