Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Junior to mid-level Compliance/Regulatory Business Analyst with EXCEL skills for a CONTRACT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in downtown NYC. He or she will need to work in the lower Manhattan office up to 3 days/week.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team as a Contractor in response to the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering 3rd-party information related to DORA, analyzing data, and meticulously inputting it into a comprehensive data repository. Regulatory experience, particularly in compliance-related fields, is preferred, and the role offers an opportunity to progress into a Compliance position.

Responsibilities:
Data Gathering:
- Help to identify eligible 3rd-party suppliers based on DORA requirements
- Collect relevant 3rd party information in adherence to DORA requirements from over 200 suppliers.
- Utilize various sources including contacting 3rd party vendors to compile accurate and up-to-date data as per DORA requirements.
- Analyze gathered data to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas of concern.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Input collected data into the firm's data repository (e.g., MS Excel) maintaining organization and accuracy.
- Help to develop and implement data validation processes to guarantee the integrity of the information.
- Apply any regulatory knowledge, in the context of DORA, to guide data collection efforts.
- Stay informed about relevant regulatory updates and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all aspects of data gathering, analysis, and spreadsheet management.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and rectify errors promptly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of data requirements.
- Collaborate with internal Compliance and Regulatory teams to align data-gathering efforts with DORA objectives.
Required Skills:
- 1-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Compliance Analyst (or equivalent)
- Compliance and/or regulatory experience in a highly regulated industry. Financial Services is a big plus
- Mid-level skills in MS Excel
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, IT, or a related discipline.
