Description
AbacusNext is looking for a Jr. IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. The Jr. IT Support Specialist will be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, an individual who strives to provide excellent customer service and is hungry to learn.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responds to phone, e-mail and personnel requests for technical support and provides 1st - level support on office desktop PC’s and laptops.
- Set’s up computers and phones for new hires.
- Re-install or upgrade PC’s and laptop’s via SCCM.
- Create and modify user accounts and memberships.
- Refurbishes old computers that have not been phased out.
- Monitor ticket queue and route tickets to the appropriate team.
- Provide phone support for remote offices and companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CompTIA A+ Preferred
- Basic understanding of Windows Server /Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/Server 2016)
- An understanding of LAN/WAN networking
- Active Directory user and group administration
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
- Must be a team player
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal business hours
- Must be able to physically bend, stop, and lift up to 40lbs, as necessary for equipment installations, workstation set ups, etc.
