Journeyman Millwright - Advance Employment

Join our team today! We are seeking skilled Millwrights to fill full-time positions in a well-established paper company. This is a Direct Hire opportunity on 2nd and 3rd shifts with competitive pay of $35.02 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications:

• Current Journeyman's card required.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, repair, and dismantle industrial machinery and heavy equipment (pumps, conveyors, bearings).
• Read blueprints, align machines, and equipment using various tools.
• Perform root cause analysis, identify potential problems, and execute corrective actions.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, participating in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement processes (Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
• Ensure the reliability of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, utilizing mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving performance metrics.
• Comply with all OSHA safety and health regulations.
• Fulfill any additional reasonable requests deemed necessary by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• MIG, TIG, and STICK welding skills.
• Mechanical aptitude, including pump rebuilding, bearing installation, and the ability to read a micrometer.
• Skills in operating equipment such as forklifts, personnel lifts, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of PLCs.
