Journeyman Meat Cutter (Skilled)
Schedule: Full Time (Scheduled 8 hours + mandatory overtime if required)
1st Shift | Monday to Friday | 7am to Finish
Note! End times may vary based on production needs.
Starting Wage: $20/HR or more based on experience
BENEFITS AND 401K included after introductory periods.
Main Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
- Skilled Meat cutting by means of table saws
- Skilled Meat cutting by means of butcher knives.
- Trimming of product.
Other responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Operate scale system, packaging and other processing equipment.
- All other duties assigned by the room Supervisor.
Requirements:
Must wear PPE and adhere to all safety rules. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior food industry experience preferred but not required (training is provided). Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
Good active listening skills /communication skills
Ability to read and write English
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, stoop, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment: The associate will have to learn and perform all duties related to food safety and product handling as dictated by Company procedures and verified and inspected by representatives of the U.S.D.A. The associate frequently stands on a concrete floor and will be subjected to cold temperatures (approximately 35º - 43º). The noise level in the work environment is usually semi-loud.
