ROLE SUMMARY
Journeyman Electricians will be responsible for leading or assisting with construction projects for large commercial & industrial (C&I) and utility sectors (running conduit, pulling cable, coordinating subs, installation of TX, PCS and SWGRs) battery testing and installation. This position is expected to travel up to 100%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of the construction team in the building of energy storage design-build projects
- Familiar with design and operation of power systems ranging from 208V to 35kV distribution and transmission systems
- Knowledge, interpretation, and application of National Electrical Code 2021NFPA 70 E and applicable energy codes
- Knowledge of single-line drawings, elementary and wiring diagrams, equipment specifications (including transformers, MCC, switchgear, substation equipment); power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, system studies and protective relay settings.
- Ability to interpret client specifications, redline construction packages
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
- Must be able to attend commercial and industrial sites and observe all applicable safety regulations
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Electrician/Apprentice regestered with the state of TX
- OSHA 10
- Any equipment operator certs a big plus
- Required years of experience; 4+ years with a focus on construction.
- Electrical experience: 2 years journeymen (required)
- Underground conduit installation
- Excavator experience a big plus
- Excavator certification a plus
- Site lead experience is an asset
